    .ml

On this page you will find all information about .ml domains that you register with TransIP. .ml is the domain extension that belongs to Mali. The extension is often used in the Netherlands to catch typos from .nl domains and then redirect the domain to the .nl variant.

Please note that different registrars may have different procedures. Is your domain not registered with TransIP? Then consult your own registrar.

    Registration

    • A .ml domain can contain a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 63 characters.
    • Domains with fewer than 3 characters are marked by the registry as ' special domain ' and cannot be registered via TransIP.
      • The names of European listed companies can also be flagged as special domains and therefore cannot be registered via TransIP.
    • .ml domains support the use of emojis in the domain name.
    • .ml domain registrations are annual and automatically renew at the end of the one-year registration period.

    Transfers

    • It is currently not possible to transfer a .ml domain to TransIP .
    • Do you want to transfer a .ml domain to another registrar? Then ask the new registrar what the procedure is. The transfer code can be viewed in your control panel.

    WHOIS

    • The WHOIS data can be freely adjusted via the control panel. You can change this information using the steps inthis Knowledge Base article.
    • .ml domain registrations are not tied to a country or region and can therefore be registered worldwide.

    Other

    • You can use a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 name servers for a .ml domain name.
