Which additional information is necessary for a .xxx domain name?

For the registration or transfer of .xxx domain names extra information is required in addition to the standard information. The additional information that ICM Registry (the registry for .xxx domain names) requires is:

    • Community ID

The screen for the additional information looks like this:

additional data registration transfer .xxx domain

    Community id

The registry of .xxx domains (ICM Registry) requires you to be a member of the 'Sponsored Community'. Your Community ID is your membership number for the Sponsored Community. This is a unique code consisting of 16 characters. You receive this code from the Sponsored community when you become a member with them.

If you do not enter your Community ID, it is assumed that you are registering the domain name for defensive reasons. In that case you will only be the owner of the domain name but will not be able to actively use the domain. The DNS for the domain name will not be set with the registry and the domain name will not be available online.

In this article we explained which additional information is required when you register or transfer a .xxx domain name.
